Half birthday

Fireworks on the Hudson River, NY

Six months ago I was in NY watching the Fourth of July fireworks on the Hudson River. Six months from today is the big birthday! I'm so not ready for it to come, mainly because I don't have my life figured out yet. I still have no clue what I want to do when I grow up, and I feel that I should have it all figured out! 

But who says you have to have all figured out? Parents, friends, society? Do we just put so much pressure on ourselves to succeed that it ends up terrifying us and set ourselves up for failure? 

I don't know?! I don't have the answers right now. There's still a lot I need to work on and figure out! Who knows if that can be done in the next six months? Stay tuned. 

Thank you Katy Perry for your Firework song. It's been stuck in my head for a while, but it's got a pretty good message! For now I will try to shine and show them what I'm worth.
